The Beautiful Cigar Girl is a book that takes during the era of Jacksonian America. Demonstrates the most views at the time, as was prostitution, abortion (women's rights, which could be used by a man in the public excorted, their husbands were) their Gaurdian, the human race suffrage white, location and quality of newspapers and, of course, Edgar Allan Poe.
